Top Ten Questions We Get Asked – #1 What makes you different?

When the time comes to make a decision on using an Agency Management Platform for your agency, what will you base your decision on?  Is price the only thing that matters to you?  If so, how is that vendor or product creating real value for your agency, tailored to your needs and available when you need someone to turn to?  Do you care about having a relationship with your software partner?  There are many different points of criteria that provider agencies use to make a decision.  Below are what we think makes us different and helps create long term value with our customers.

- Relationships

When selecting a partner for an agency management solution that will become part of the fabric of your organization, we think it’s important to keep in mind the people behind the company, their appreciation for what you do and their commitment to your satisfaction. At MediSked, we’re dedicated experts, committed to the same goals as you. We understand the challenges you face, both on a day to day operational basis and from a higher level of advocacy in fighting for the individuals that you dedicate your life to.

Our goal is to build collaborative, long term partnerships with our customers and be the technology and compliance guide necessary to overcome your day to day operational challenges and also allow you the ability to keep your focus on providing outstanding care to the individuals you serve. Too often, IT companies are only concerned with features and specs and they lose sight of the only thing that matters to you when choosing software: can my people use this, will you be there when I need you and will this be my single point solution.

- Product fit

When it comes to actually comparing the features and functionalities of MediSked Connect, an agency management platform, you will find that our product was built for your specific home and community based service workflows.  Our product was not introduced in another industry and then tweaked to try and fit this space.  This is the ONLY market we serve.  Billing to Medicaid is standard.  Helping provider agencies transition to MCOs is something we do on a daily basis.  We understand the regulatory requirements that a platform needs to have in order to be effective in this industry.

Because we’ve been around for 10 years working with amazing provider agencies across the country, our product has also incorporated a lot of best practices and updates that have come directly from customer feedback.  Our customers tell us that they are surprised how the MediSked Connect platform has really thought of everything.  That’s a direct result from our ability to listen to our customers and understand the reason behind different features and workflows.

- Compliance

Being compliant in this space is a huge deal.  Serving customers across the country, we know that every state has different requirements and that is where our Compliance organization at MediSked makes a big impact for our customers.  Every customer has a Compliance Pack™ that is installed on their platform specific to the state and waivers they operate under to ensure complaint documentation and billing.  Our customers have grown to rely on us as a partner for helping them navigate through challenging times as regulations and requirements from oversight change.  This is part of the relationship aspect that is crucial – our customers know we are experts on technology and compliance and leverage that when they have questions or just need someone to talk to about what’s going on in their region.

- Training and Support

We know you are in the business of providing outstanding care to the people you serve.  You are not technology experts nor should you be.  We invest heavily in training and support for our customers from the day they sign up with us.  We have a proven method of getting the platform implemented in the beginning and training your staff to be proficient with the product.  That is a standard service that happens with every customer.  Our support team is 100% based in the US and are regularly required to visit customers so they truly understand and appreciate the work that provider agencies do.  We would never outsource support to another country as it goes back to our feelings on what a long term relationship means.  You can’t have a long term relationship when you are calling a call center in a foreign country and speaking to people that have no idea what you do on a day to day basis.

- Our Current Customers

Our customers are our best assets.  Each one has a story of how and why they got started with MediSked Connect.  With a 98% retention rate, we strive to make and keep our customers extremely happy.  Almost all had some doubt on whether they could make the transition from paper based ways of managing their agency to an electronic system.  Most have the same concerns about staff and technology and resistance to change.  And yet most today cannot imagine ever operating without MediSked Connect and going back to a paper based system.  Our user group meetings and online forums are a tremendous way that our customers interact and share ideas with each other.

If you haven’t already noticed, relationships and building value are a huge focus at MediSked.  We are a technology company serving a human industry and we take that into consideration in everything we do.  It’s our honor to work with our customers on a day to day basis and knowing that our product helps our customers be better at caring for others is why we are in business.
