I promise I’m not an overly confident or conceited individual, which is what you may be thinking after reading that headline. I am however an individual who was fortunate enough to be hired into a company that shares my passion for creating an amazing work atmosphere, recognizing hard work, and where the executive team thinks that each employee is a big deal. I came to MediSked from a corporation that had employees in over 30 states and was headquartered over 1,000 miles from the field office I was based in. I had met the president of the company, he was a wonderful man who appreciated employees and did his best to express that appreciation whenever he traveled through. On the flip side of that, there were members of the executive team that I could bump into on the street after 5 years with the company and not know who they were. It was hard to impress upon them the difficulties of creating an employee experience that would inspire loyalty when they were so far away. When my family decided to relocate, and I was searching for a new employer I wanted to find a company that shared my passion for rewarding and recognizing employees, an employer that would inspire me to be the best employee that I could be.
Are you inspired at work?
If you’re looking at that line thinking I’m a corny person then I would guess that no you’re not inspired at work and if that is the case, then I am truly very sorry. Let me ask you a question, when was the last time you were going through new hire orientation at a company and the first session was led by the president of the company? That answer for me is when I started at MediSked. If the president takes time out of his schedule to explain to you the mission of the company along with the importance of the work you do and you’re not inspired, then just wait because during the next four days of orientation you’ll get the opportunity to be energized by the entire executive team. I’ll be the first to admit that the brilliance of this team almost made my head explode. There was a voice inside me thinking, “whoa what have I gotten myself into?” but louder than that voice was the one screaming, “the entire executive team just took time out of their schedules to talk to you about the importance of your role in this company. Wow!” The accessibility and involvement of the executive team doesn’t end with orientation. I’m heading into my sixth month with MediSked and it is a common occurrence for me to see our executive team working in the trenches to help our employees tackle projects, meet deadlines and deliver the best product we can. If knowing that you’re working hand-in-hand with one of the founders or another member of the executive team of the company doesn’t inspire you to do great work I don’t know what will.
Do you party every day?
MediSked strives to provide the talented group of people in it’s employ with the greatest employee experience possible. That doesn’t mean that we party every day, after all we do have important work to get done. It does, however, mean that if your favorite kind of hot tea isn’t available in the breakroom you can ask for it and it will appear in the assortment within days. It means that when you do great work you’ll get a personal thank you from a manager as well as recognition in the quarterly all-hands. It means that on your birthday a company wide email will go out so that everyone knows it’s your day. It means anniversaries and dedication to the company are celebrated and rewarded, it means that we have fun contests with cool prizes, it means we have company outings to some fantastic destinations, and it means that we have parties!
If you’re looking for a company that will inspire you, that will reward you, that will recognize your efforts I encourage you to look at the listing of open positions within our growing company.
