The Northeast Arc, located in the Boston area, is the newest agency to adopt MediSked Connect – Agency Management Platform. Two weeks ago, we were in Massachusetts for the first on-site meeting to kick off the implementation of Connect for their organization.
MediSked Connect is an electronic records system that captures and manages all of an agency’s data with a workflow that is customized to each agency. The Northeast Arc is utilizing Connect for four of their programs: Autism Applied Behavioral Analysis, Building Blocks, Early Intervention, and Residential.
They chose Connect because it will create efficiencies that will help to improve the lives of the individuals they support. Connect will save the staff at the Northeast Arc precious time that can then be utilized elsewhere in the organization, allow for better communication across programs, offer the ability to track and drill down on service utilization data to better measure outcomes, and optimize processes to ensure that the individuals they support are receiving the best quality of care. Additionally, Connect provides cost efficacy of service delivery because it offers better revenue cycle management. The Northeast Arc will be able to efficiently manage service documentation as they go through the internal audit channel to billing and remittance, creating a healthier cashflow.
Here at MediSked we aim to partner with the agencies we work with to foster a collaborative environment. Every partner organization is assigned a Premier Services team of MediSked experts to work with during implementation. The team consists of a MediSked Premier Project Manager, Premier Project Coordinator, and specialists from our Compliance and Engineering & Database departments. The leads from the MediSked Premier Services team, Caroline Lizzio and Russell Dinolfo, led the day-long meeting with the Northeast Arc’s Project Team. This productive meeting included an overview of MediSked, a timeline of the five stages of implementation, a live demo of the service documentation configuration within MediSked Connect, and two intensive workshops to review current service documentation and draft potential templates.
The Northeast Arc is a tremendous organization that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are the largest Arc chapter in Massachusetts, the second largest chapter in the United States, and they support over 9,000 individuals in over 190 cities and towns. While on-site, the Northeast Arc’s Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Financial Reporting took the time to provide us with an expansive overview of the agency’s culture and a discussion of the services that they offer. We are thrilled about this partnership and for the opportunity to work with this incredible team!
