Spreading kindness is something that should be done every day, but here’s a good reminder for sending it into the world in droves tomorrow.
Tomorrow, November 13, is World Kindness Day. Celebrated around the world, 2018 marks the 20th year of kindness celebrations, initially begun by a coalition of NGOs in 1998. The spirit of the day is centered around bringing positive energy into the world and raising awareness about the simple acts that are easily forgotten in the day to day of busy lives.
Here are some ideas to get you started, today and every day:
- Reach out to a friend of family member that you don’t get to speak with often
- Share patience and smiles with people you encounter during the day
- Share respectful compliments with friends and family
- Remember to be kind to yourself – consider engaging in some self care activities, whatever that may mean to you. It could be as simple as earmarking time to exercise, grab a coffee, read a book, or just getting to bed early.
