MediSked Connect is offered exclusively as a hosted Software as a Solution (SaaS). The SaaS model allows for uninterrupted, secure, and HIPAA compliant service while enabling the MediSked support and development teams to be highly responsive to your needs and minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Our customers activate the license (initial activation) and subscribe to the monthly license to the application.

Security and reliability are the number one priorities for us on the technical side. The features include:
- 128-bit SSL encryption of all web data, behind Cisco Firewall
- IPSec security used between servers in data centers
- Databases encrypted with certificates, fields with Protected Health Information encrypted
On the customer side, the web application contains a myriad of security features as well. These include:
- Mandatory agreement to terms and conditions of use, required to access system
- Automatic log off after 20 minutes of inactivity between client and server
- Strong password requirement with mandatory password expiration policy
- Agency-wide option to enable MediSked password or integrate with LDAP/AD
- Two form identification for authentication (agency-wide option)
- Unique logins per user linked to highly configurable access control restrictions based around programs, clients, employees, services, locations, caseloads, schedules, service notes, documents, plans, billing, and payroll.
- Access configurable on temporary or permanent basis
- Full logging of transactions with audit control capabilities, including login logs and client data access
- Digital signatures on service notes to ensure authentication, non-repudiation, and integrity.

Infrastructure/Hosting Options
There are 3 different infrastructure and hosting options available with MediSked. They are based on the number of data centers you want your data to be hosted on and, if you choose two data centers, whether you want the second data center to be a backup or be active just like your first data center. Having your data hosted at both data centers is the best way to mitigate risk and protect your data.
Option 1: Basic
Basic hosting is utilizing only a single data center and requires 1 license.
It comes standard with 10GB combined RAID 1 database and file storage; 1x day full backups, network load balanced application servers; clustered data servers; 24×7 monitoring/alerts; Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008

Option 2: Standard
Standard hosting utilizes two data centers, however the second data center is only used as a “warm standby” which archives your data twice a day so that it is replicated on two unique, physical servers hundreds of miles apart from each other. This option requires 1.5 licenses.

Option 3: Enterprise
Enterprise hosting utilizes two data centers, with both data centers being active. The second data center is a “hot standby” (automatic failover to second data center). This option requires 2 licenses.
