Furthering its dedication as a top holistic solutions provider, MediSked is now a member of The Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHC). As an affiliate member with AHHC, MediSked will amplify the voices of providers at the government level through advocacy efforts. MediSked supports AHHC’s mission REAL: Resources, Education, Advocacy, and Leadership for providers of home health, hospice, palliative care, personal care, private duty nursing, and companion services.
The Association was established in 1972 and currently has a membership of over 750 provider agencies and vendors. AHHC is focused on advocacy with strong representation before the NC General Assembly, and in meetings with key officials from NC Medicaid and DHSR, advocating for laws and payment rates that support the mission to provide quality home care. The effective lobbying strategies executed by their superior government affairs team achieves results and protects healthcare at home programs.
“At MediSked, we are always looking to gain valuable memberships that continue our dedication to improving lives and creating efficiencies for providers of our aging community,” said Rachel Hendrickson, Business Development Supervisor at MediSked. “We’re proud to be a member with the AHHC and support the delivery of important leadership, resources, advocacy, and education in the home health and hospice care realm.”
AHHC’s mission is to provide Resources, Education, Advocacy, and Leadership. Services include technical assistance, monthly newsletters, quality educational programs, annual directory, email alerts, and political lobbying. AHHC strongly advocates for their members and the many patients they serve, and is recognized by colleagues, regulators, and legislators as one of the most active and effective home care and hospice associations in the US.
