Keeping You Connected During COVID-19
Given the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, MediSked has compiled a list of available tools to support you in your efforts to promote the safety and health of the individuals that you work with and your staff. The features below will help you communicate important messages and track critical information related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nationally recognized expert, Dr. Tom Pomeranz has developed a list of nearly 20 tangible steps that providers can take to address the critical health and safety needs of individuals and staff during this pandemic.
From documentation to communications and more, Dr Pomeranz offers advice on developing new processes that will help providers adjust to the current environment – while keeping a strong emphasis on remaining person-centered.
The MediSked online Community offers our users a central location for ideas and discussions on the topics they care about most. Our User-to-User Discussion category within the MediSked Community is a great place to share ideas, questions, and best practices across the country.

MediSked Virtual Visits is an opportunity to connect via video conference or phone calls with MediSked team members to support social interactions and community inclusion. MediSked volunteers will host 30-minute activity-based sessions with individuals.
MediSked Connect: Tools for Communicating and Tracking
Agency Login Page Message (MediSked Connect)
MediSked Connect – Agency Management Platform, has an area below the login fields on the login page where a custom message can be added. This area supports HTML content, as well as external links. Contact Support to configure your agency’s homepage message with COVID-19 or other critical content.
Agency Whiteboard (MediSked Connect)
The Agency Whiteboard is an effective way to communicate with staff once they have logged into MediSked Connect. The Agency Whiteboard is on the Connect homepage and is configurable by users whose access level has the Whiteboard permission set to Yes. It supports rich text, allowing users with access to create content emphasizing important messages.
Observations Module (MediSked Connect)
Agencies can utilize Observations in MediSked Connect – Agency Management Platform, to help ensure staff are following important safety procedures for themselves and the individuals they are working with. Agencies can create pandemic-specific observations that record information for both staff and individuals.
Some sample questions that could be used in Observations to track staff health and safety include:
- Did you sanitize your hands upon arrival?
- What was your temperature when you clocked in?
- Do you have any of the following symptoms: Coughing, sore throat, difficulty breathing?
- How many times did you wash your hands during your shift?
- Have you had contact with anyone that has Covid-19 or is showing symptoms?
Reviewing Observation Reports regularly and taking action when staff report anything out of the ordinary will be a critical step in monitoring these observations.
